im gonna' tell ya' how to install and update ET, update PB and how to create a profile in 4 steps. WEE

Step 1. Installing.
first you need the game.
there is a install with the 2.60 and the 2.60b patch installed at www.wolfmap.de (Dl speed ~ 750kb/s)
if you install that one you can skip step 2.
no registering required.
if that doesn't work, (
i haven't tried that install)
try this :
i have searched everywhere for a link, were you don't have to register to that page, which supports good download speed but i couldn't found it, so you have to register
here to get a good download speed. (Dl speed ~ 650kb/s)
when you have registered yourself,
make sure you are logged in and then press
here.
download it and run it, and please,
install it at the default direction.
i think you should press like this
Next, agree, next, next, yes, next, next and install.
Step 2. Updating ET.
now you need to update to 2.60b.
the file you have to download is in a
.zip format.
to open that file you need
this.
its a program to open such files, and
its totally harmless, im using it like everyday
ok, and here comes the
update.
when you got the file just run it and press like this: next, accept, next, next and install.
now you should have at least 2 new icons on our desktop.
press the 2.60b patch switcher twice. now you should have chosen the 2.60b patch. if you want to check that, klick
here and look at the very last post there.
Step 3. Updating PunkBuster.
now you need to update punkbuster.
(the anticheat program that ET is using.)
to download the updater, press
here.
Download the file and go to C:\Program\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\pb.
place the file there and press it twice.
klick ok.
now your virus-protection-program/your firewall will probably warn you about this file.
make sure you
always allow the connection to the internet for the program.
then press accept and accept.
then you chose your game - enemy territory - and press ok.
then press the "check for updates" buttom, and then you're done
Step 4. Create your Profile.
now you have to creat your profile.
run ET and chose your name, remember,
it can be changed later.
press
here if you want to make a
colored name.
remember that you are only allowed to wear clan tags if you are a clan member/trial member!
ok, now you have to set up your resolution.
remember to chose the highest resolution for best quality.
notice: you can't have highter resolution than your screen can handle.
to check your screen's resolution, rightclick on your desktop and chose propeties. then go to settings and there you will be able to see what resolutions your screen can handle.
now you have to
manage the brightness so you can see the enemy in the dark spots in some maps. (i play with 2.00)
then select your connection, and allow punkbuster.
now you are ready to go open your console (with the § key) and write /connect 85.131.163.204:27960 to connect to [RoN]xp save server
